PAUSE: Menopause Support Groups

Duration: 6 x one-hour sessions either F2F or Virtual

Frequency: Weekly or Monthly (dependent on client's needs)

Session Structure:

Sessions are informal and conversational. There will be a 5-10 minute topic introduction facilitated by your trainer that outlines some of the key considerations within each subject area, followed by an open discussion regarding the topic. Our support groups offer a safe, confidential space where open discussion is encouraged and full discretion maintained.

Discussion Topics:

Discussion topics will be guided by individual groups based on their personal needs and areas that they wish to explore. We’ll agree on the topic for each session in the session prior to build from ongoing discussion.

There is no harm in outlining a rough, six-week plan for topics. However, we recommend that it’s best to develop organically from one session to the next.

Participant Outcomes:

Participants will...

  • leave each session with a shared understanding of how that specific topic has impacted them and their colleagues.
  • have some clear signposting for further reading or areas of personal exploration.
  • leave feeling supported by their peers and feeling more confident in their abilities to support and advise others.

PAUSE: Menopause Support Groups

The purpose of the support group sessions are to be guided by the needs of your colleagues and to explore specific topics in more detail.

The one-hour sessions are to be based on group discussion, sharing of personal stories and signposting to further learning and resources. We recommend a series of six sessions to allow for a good variety of subject areas to be explored in detail.
